I could use the app but had to try reopening it like 5 times until it would stop crashing. Later I had to restore my phone because of an unrelated issue (wipe all the memory) and the problem persisted. I updated the software on my iPhone 7+ to ios 15 and that’s when the problem began. I used to love this app until it started crashing every time I try typing and told me it couldn’t connect to the server. It’s that simple lol but anyways hope whoever read this has a great day and that my opinion helped! Xoxo But other than it being kinda laggy it’s a great app! And if you debating weather or not to get it here’s my opinion, get it just get it and if you don’t like it delete it. Now I didn’t have an account until a few days ago and have noticed it let me use the app longer and didn’t kick me off as much so definitely make and account you don’t have to pay for one either so it’s really good. It also says to make an account on the app every time you use it I suggest you do so because it might help decrease the lagging and help it run smoother. But besides that it’s a very good app lots of features and will help write you a perfect script, but! Because it has so many features and is a very good app it’s very laggy and sometimes will kick you off the app and won’t let you back on until a day later or days later.

It’s a really good app and it does what it’s meant to do (writing scripts) I’ve used it multiple times to write scripts I’m even making a movie using the script I wrote on this app. It’s really good app! But keep this in mind while using it I have fat fingers, so I need to add a word or two in between existing words, it can take a while because it keeps highlighting things or words that I don’t want it to. It’s also difficult to be precise with placement on the mobile version. Nevertheless, it’s a scary moment and makes it hard for me to trust the cloud.
Luckily Celtx does offer decent backup on the website.
#Celtx price update#
I don’t know why it didn’t update automatically since I have data, but once I opened it, Celtx assumed this old one was the latest version and overwrote everything else on the cloud. Then later I tried to edit that draft on my iPhone what I didn’t know at the time was the version of the draft on my app hasn’t been updated yet, so it was still an older version with none of the new pages. The cloud-save mechanism can be a lil iffy too because this happened to me once where I was working on a script on the Celtx website on my desktop, saved it there.
